The Colne Valley Beagles and Holme Valley Beagles were exercising near Woodhead Pass today.
There was the odd glimpse of sun and the moor was not such hard work as some but there were narrow hidden cuttings under the heather where drainage streams run and one can suddenly plunge vertically down a foot or two if not careful.
It should be said that the huntsman would normally be wearing a jacket but the mild autumn so far makes it more comfortable to move around in just his waistcoat.

Well I was intending to show the colours of the landscape but the scenery is a bit romantic I suppose.
The very busy Woodhead pass road across the valley.
Blowing for home.
