Well I didn't see much but it was a nice enough, if rather short day, to be out and with a mounted pack one can always take the odd pretty picture. The Holme and Colne Valley Beagles Meet of Saturday, 9th February 2019
It was the tail end of a storm called Erik that left strong blustery wind and some rain attacking the rugged hillside going steeply up to a high rocky escarpment of the Pennines where the beagles were going. I had debated about turning out at all as I knew they would vanish over the top where I had no intention of going - so they did.

Despite a bit of a hike I never saw them again except as dots on the skyline which quickly vanished. Well at least I had got out and had some foot slogging exercise even if it was to no avail. I eventually called it a day.
