Today,
Saturday, was a Joint Meet of three packs
of hounds.
The Colne and Home Valley Beagles (CVB and HVB) combined with the Brighton and Storrington & Surrey and North Sussex Beagles (BSSNSB) and the Eton College Beagles. So there was one composite pack and three huntsmen. I am not sure how many actual packs of hounds were represented since the CVB and HVB count as two and for the BSSNSB I am not sure I have enough fingers. Needless to say the hounds all came together as one.

However,
the Meet was at Wills O’ Nats, one of our favourite pubs. There was a big ‘do’ afterwards hosted by a
generous landlord and landlady, and although I didn’t go it would have been a
wonderful event.
So,

Bit of bright sunshine for a short while.
So many cameras and so many people!
And then to West Nab led by the CVB huntsman
It doesn't seem far looking up from the road but it is a bit of a climb.
I don't think anyone knows what this is. It is quite big.
On a clear day, which it wasn't, the views are pretty good from here.
Lunchtime - sheltering from the very strong gusting chilly wind.
It looks as though Huddersfield had a glimpse of sunshine in the far distance. Meltham, the original home of David Brown tractors lies in between.
Into the teeth of a gale
Maybe the wind kept the rain at bay while I was there, but I failed to last the course and it rained later on.
