HOLME & COLNE VALLEY BEAGLES and BRITANNIA BEAGLES

I have not had much opportunity for beagling recently, not least as there has been dull wet weather and the local Harriers have not been out either, but Tuesday 11th December was a lovely fine sunny day and the H&CVB were out and about.

HCVB is a poor acronym as there is little chance of finding the Holme & Colne Valley Beagles using that to search with, not that CVB was any better.  H&CVB is useless too but may get recognised one day.  I will stick with that.

So the H&CVB on the 11th December on the moors above Holmfirth.

I was wondering if John Cleese of Monty Python fame etc., has any relatives in this area as his Ministry of Silly Walks looks to be alive and well.

Before assembling for some exercise we were treated to excellent hospitality at a local farm where a splendid buffet and liquid refreshment of varying strength was provided.

Britannia Beagles were around locally on a visit, so I got a glimpse of them on the dark murky following day.

And that was the last I saw of them
